Sorry it's been so long!!

Jackson now weighs (as of October 15th) 13lbs 5oz and is 23.5 inches long! They said that he's right on track. He's getting so big but he's so much fun! He's starting to really laugh and seems to smile at us whenever we smile at him.

We went to Spokane a couple of weekends ago for a friends wedding. He was great :) He slept through the whole ceremony and a good part of the reception. Auntie Malarie came and picked him up from the reception after a while and he had a ton of fun with her while Mike and I stayed and danced the night away.

Both sets of Grandparents and lots of other family were in town last weekend so he had lots of love and attention.

He's all ready for halloween. He has a cute shirt from his Great Aunt Linda to wear during the day and he has two costumes for answering the door for trick-or-treaters. The first is a dalmation costume that his Great Aunt Mary sent from Texas. The second is a lion costume that his Great Aunt Linda is letting us borrow!! The only bummer about halloween is he's getting his first round of shots at the doctor that day :( But Casey and Rob (friends from Spokane) are coming to town that weekend so I'm sure that will cheer him up!

Griz Tailgate - 9.27.08

Hello everyone! Jackson is doing wonderful this week. His new favorite thing is standing up (see picture below). It says in one of our books that he's not supposed to be able to do that until he's three months so he's a bit ahead of the game! He just started cooing a couple of days ago too! We went on a hike behind our house the other night and today we spent the afternoon hiking at Holland Lake. We bought a backpack for Jackson to be in for long hikes and tried it out this afternoon. It works great! Hope everyone is doing well!

Update

It's been a while! Jackson is doing GREAT. He's getting a personality! It's so much fun. He smiles and even laughs sometimes. I have a feeling that he's going to be a handful when he starts being able to move around on his own. He gets bored if he's sitting in a certain position for too long and he "whines" until you move him - which is what leads me to believe that when he starts moving on his own he's going to be all over the place! His hair is getting a lot longer. It's hard to tell in pictures but trust me, it is. I've been blow drying it after he has a bath (he LOVES the blow dryer) and getting it to stick straight up. It's pretty cute.

We're going to the tailgate at the Griz game tomorrow so I'll get more pictures than I did last time. But for now, here are some pictures from the night of September 17th. We went to "Yell Night" at the University to watch the lighting of the 'M' and the Fireworks. I got Jackson all dressed up in his Griz gear and took some pics before we went. Enjoy!

GO GRIZ!!!

Jackson attended his first Griz tailgate last weekend! He slept most of the time but I'm sure that he enjoyed it while he was awake. Jackson and I were just there before the game and Mike stayed for the game. We figured it might be a little loud for him to go to the games this year. Maybe next year!!

We had a wellness check-up on Monday and Jackson weighed 11 lbs 8 oz. He's still 22 inches long. He's in the 90th percentile for his weight and the 75th for his height. They said he's a healthy boy!!

We went on a small hike last week to get the dogs out and about. It was our first time trying out the baby carrier that we have (thanks Nancy & Jess!). It worked out great and got us a bit more motivated to do it more often... although we haven't gone on a hike since then. There's always tomorrow :)

School's going well for both Mike and I. It's hard for me to quit looking at Jackson and start studying but I've managed to keep up with everything so far!

Jackson and I went to Spokane this past weekned (Mike was working at CVS in Anaconda) to visit Auntie Malarie and some of my friends. The trip went well and Jackson was great on the road - slept the entire time! The second picture down is my favorite. He looks terrified by his Grandma :)

He's still adoreable!!

Hello everyone! It's been far too long since I wrote on here... I'm already falling behind :(

Anyways, Jackson is doing amazing. He's still perfect in every way. He loves looking around now and he'll stare at things forever. He's a GREAT eater. He wants to eat all the time actually. He's having some issues with sleeping at night but we're slowly getting those worked out. When we went to the doctor a week ago he weighed 10lbs 2oz! Dr. Harper said he deserved a gold medal for putting his weight back on plus some in such little time!

Last weekend we took him to Anaconda for his first trip to Grandma and Grandpa Taylor's house! He also got to go to a BBQ and meet lots of other family. And he met his Uncle Chad for the first time! He was great and slept the whole time while we were driving. He also got meet some more family in Missoula last weekend including his cousin Liam (that's who's in the picture with him below). Liam is just over two months old and only weighs about a pound more than Jackson!
