Our little boy is six months old already!!

Hello everyone! Time for more pictures and an update! Jackson has been sick for the past week or so. He's being a great sport about it but he struggles with sleeping sometimes because his nose is so plugged up and the coughing doesn't help either.

He's been eating lots of nummy foods like, rice cereal, carrots, peas, and sweet potatoes. Today he's going to try some green beans! He loves, loves, loves eating. It's his favorite time of the day by far.

He's sitting up very well on his own. We still put pillows around him just in case. And he's pulling himself up pretty well. He likes hanging on to the side of his crib and looking around at all of the things in his room. Speaking of his room, he actually has one now! He used to be out in a living room area of our upstairs because Mike and I had too much stuff. But Mike sold a bunch of his things on Craigslist and that made room for us to move stuff around! So Jackson now has his own bedroom, our TV room is in the upstairs living room now, and we're turning the downstairs living room into a study area for Mike and I. I think it's going to work our well!

Mike and I are both busy with school. We both had big tests last week and we both have another big test on Friday. Studying while Jackson is awake is a bit of a struggle but he goes to be usually by 7:30 so we have plenty of time to study in the evenings.

We're looking forward to the arrival of Jackson's two new cousins! My cousin Kaci is due in May with a girl, and Mike's cousin Kirsten is due in June with a boy!! We're so excited for both of them and can't wait to meet the new babies!

Happy Valentine's Day!!

Here are some pictures that we took this morning and some from this past week. Jackson slept through the entire night last night so he was an animated little boy when he woke up. I have to work today and I think that Mike and Jackson are going to go cross country skiing... or play the Wii all day. Who knows :) Happy Valentine's Day everyone!

Sorry it's been so long.

School has started so it's been a bit hectic around here lately! Not much time to update the blog. Jackson is doing amazing. He's the funniest little boy ever! His two bottom front teeth have come in. The second one was much easier than the first. He's finally figured out how to roll over from his back to his tummy and he's sitting up on his own. I can't believe that he's almost six months!! We are having so much fun with him. Being parents gets better every day.

This weekend we were able to get away for a night while Grandma and Grandpa Briggeman watched him overnight. Mike and I went snowboarding at Blacktail Mountain and the spent the afternoon and night in Whitefish. It was winter carnival weekend in Whitefish so there were lots of drunk people everywhere. Mike and I were not a part of that though. We were fast asleep by 10:00. We're not quite the partiers that we used to be! Anyways, here are some pictures of our little man. Hope everyone is doing fantastic!

Teeth... they make unhappy babies

The poor little man has gotten his first tooth. At first I was extremely excited about this. It's a big milestone in a babies life. And then the other bottom front tooth started coming in at the same time. This means that there is a large amount of screaming and unhappiness on Jackson's part and a feeling of helplessness on my part. Orajel does not work. And the teething ring that I thought was going to save us all is now being chucked across the room after two minutes of viscious gnawing. I thought that I had found the answer in teething tablets that a nice lady at Target told me about. I told Mike about them and he researched them and found that they contain belladonna which apparently contains poison. Better not use those!

Hopefully we can just do one tooth at a time from now on! I have however managed to document the few happy times that we have had during the past week. Here they are... enjoy!

It's been waaayy too long since I've updated this. I'm going to blame it on the busy holidays. They really were quite busy! We were in Anaconda with Mike's family for Thanksgiving as well as for Christmas Eve. On Chirstmas Day we got up bright and early and drove to Kalispell to spend time with my side of the family. Then a couple of days later we went to Deer Lodge for a Briggeman get together. All in all, I have to say that Jackson's first Christmas went well and I'm glad that we got to see so many people.

Right now we are in Kalispell for three weeks while Mike is doing one of his internships at Kalispell Regional Medical Center. Today is his first day so no word yet on how he likes it! School starts for both of us on the 26th and I actually have to attend classes this semester which means Jackson has to go to daycare. We're not looking forward to that change but we have found a daycare that we really like so we're comfortable leaving him while we are at school.

Jackson had a doctors appointment last week and he now weighs 18lbs 3oz and is 26 inches long!! He's a giant :)

I hope everyone had a great holiday season!!

Well, Jackson now weighs 14 lbs. 9 oz. (this was as of about two weeks ago so he's probably hovering around 15 lbs. by now). He's 24 1/2 inches long. He's smiling and laughing more and more and he's got a good grasp on objects when we put them in his hand. He's still not liking being on his tummy for more that 30 seconds. I'm beginning to wonder if he's just going to scoot around on his butt like my Dad did instead of crawling :) If we lay him down and he doesn't feel like being down he tries to sit up on his own... not succesfully of course but he sure tries his hardest. He's responding to our voices when we walk into a room too! He especially likes his Daddy's voice and usually gets a big grin on his face when he see's him. Mike gets a big grin on his face too :) Dr. Harper says that he's growing perfectly and is a very healthy little boy!

Anyways, here is one picture of Jackson's first halloween (this is in his lion costume - pictures in his dalmation costume are coming as soon as I find that memory card) and his first professional pictures!!

Fall Photo Shoot

It was a beautiful day today so we thought we would head ouy to my Grandparents house to get some fun fall pics of Jackson. I think they turned out pretty good!
